Checking in and earning rewards

Every time you visit your clinic you can check in through the Glovora app. Checking in records your visit and rewards you — either with Beauty Bank credit added directly to your wallet, or by counting towards your next reward in the rewards ladder. Which one you receive depends on how your clinic has set up their rewards programme.

Purchases you make through the app also count towards your rewards.

The Scan tab — your patient QR code

Tap Scan in the bottom navigation bar to open your personal patient QR code. This is your unique digital ID inside the app.

The code displays your name, membership status, and a QR code that refreshes automatically every 30 seconds for security.

tip

Keep your screen brightness high when showing your QR code to staff, and hold your phone steady. The code also works if you have no signal — it uses cached data.

Checking in at the clinic

There are two ways to check in:

Option 1 — Show your QR code to staff Tap the Scan tab and show your patient QR code to a staff member. They scan it from their side. This is the most common method.

Option 2 — Scan the clinic's QR code yourself If the clinic has a QR code on display, tap Check-in for rewards on the home screen (or the Scan quick action) and point your phone camera at the clinic's code.

Once check-in is successful, a confirmation sheet appears showing what you earned.

What you earn when you check in

Your clinic chooses one of two reward methods:

Beauty Bank credit If your clinic uses wallet credit mode, checking in adds a fixed cash amount directly to your Beauty Bank wallet — for example, £5.00 added to your [Clinic] Cash. You will see the amount and your new wallet balance on the confirmation sheet. You can spend this credit on any treatment or package in the app.

Visit progress If your clinic uses the visit-based system, checking in counts as a visit toward your rewards ladder. The confirmation sheet shows your current visit number — for example "Visit 3" — and how many more visits you need to unlock your next reward.

What you earn when you purchase through the app

Buying treatments, packages, or products through the app also contributes to your rewards balance. Depending on your clinic's settings, purchases award you points that count toward rewards in the catalogue. The more you spend in the app, the faster you progress.

The rewards ladder

The Rewards tab shows your progress and the full rewards catalogue. Each reward is shown as a card with the reward name and either the visit number or points needed to unlock it.

When you have enough visits or points to unlock a reward, a Redeem Reward button appears. Tap it to claim your reward. Some rewards can also be converted to Beauty Bank credit — if this option is available, a Convert to [amount] Beauty Bank credit button appears alongside the redeem option.

See the Points and rewards article for full details on redeeming rewards.

Your QR code is unique to you

Your patient QR code is personal to your account. Do not share it with others — it is linked to your identity, your visit history, and your rewards balance. If someone else checks in with your code, it will be recorded against your account.

Common mistakes

QR code not scanning Make sure your screen brightness is turned up fully. Move to a well-lit area and hold the phone still. If the code still does not scan, ask staff to try again — the code refreshes every 30 seconds so a new one will appear automatically.

Not seeing a reward after checking in Pull down to refresh on the home screen and Rewards tab. If the check-in was successful the confirmation sheet will have appeared — if you dismissed it before reading it, your reward was still recorded. Check your wallet balance or visit count on the Rewards tab.

Checking in more than once in the same visit Each visit counts once. Scanning multiple times in the same session will not award additional credit or visits.
