QR Generator

The QR Generator produces a unique QR code for your clinic that patients scan with the Glovora mobile app to connect to your clinic instantly. You can copy the deep link to share digitally, download a high-resolution PNG for digital displays or marketing materials, or download a print-ready A4 PDF poster — complete with your clinic branding and a welcome offer headline — to display at reception.

Where to find it

In the left-hand sidebar, click QR Generator. The page is titled Clinic QR Code.

The QR code encodes a native app deep link in the following format:

glovora://select?clinicId={your-clinic-id}

This is not a web URL — it is a mobile deep link that opens the Glovora patient app directly on a patient's phone and connects them to your specific clinic. The clinic ID embedded in the code never changes, so the QR code is permanent (see Permanence below).

The Deep Link URL field on the page shows a corresponding web fallback address:

https://glovora.app/deeplink?clinicId={your-clinic-id}

This web address is what you share by copying the link. It serves as a fallback for patients who receive the link but have not yet installed the app.

What each field means

How Patients Use This QR Code card

A numbered list of four steps explaining the patient journey, followed by a tip box. No interactive controls — this section is informational only.

Customisation options

There are no customisation controls on this page. You cannot change the size, colour, format, or content of the QR code. The code always encodes your clinic ID in the fixed format shown above.

tip

If you need the QR code in a different colour scheme for a printed campaign, download the PNG and apply your design edits in a third-party tool such as Canva or Adobe Illustrator — do not edit the QR module pattern itself, or scanners may fail to read it.

How to download the QR code

Download the PNG

  1. Open QR Generator from the sidebar.
  2. Click Download PNG.
  3. Your browser saves the file as glovora-qr-{clinic-id}.png.

Use this file for:

  • Digital signage and in-clinic screens
  • Email newsletters
  • Social media posts and stories
  • Your clinic website

Download the PDF Poster

  1. Open QR Generator from the sidebar.
  2. Click Download PDF Poster.
  3. The poster opens in a new browser tab and downloads automatically as welcome-poster-{clinic-name}.pdf.

PDF Poster details

The PDF is A4 sized and contains:

  • A top colour band using your clinic's brand colour (set in Clinic Settings)
  • Your clinic logo, or your clinic name in white if no logo is uploaded
  • A headline reading "Get [currency][X] off your first visit" — using the currency symbol set in App Builder → Branding → Currency, with your clinic's configured welcome credit value
  • A sub-line: "on your first appointment booked through our app"
  • A "Download our app" section containing QR codes that link to your iOS and Android app store listings (or a campaign deep link if individual store URLs have not been set)
  • If your iOS and Android app URLs differ, two separate QR codes are shown side by side — one for each platform
tip

Update your clinic logo and welcome credit amount in Clinic Settings before downloading the poster so the printed copy reflects your correct branding.

Is the QR code permanent?

Yes — the QR code is permanent. It encodes only your clinic's ID, which never changes. Once you have printed or distributed a QR code, it will continue to work indefinitely. There is no expiry date, no rotation mechanism, and no way to revoke or regenerate it.

warning

Because the QR code cannot be invalidated, do not include it in a context where you might later need to block access — for example, do not embed it in a time-limited campaign where the code should stop working after a set date. The QR code will always connect a patient to your clinic as long as your clinic account is active.

Sharing options

MethodHow

How a patient scan works

If the Glovora app is already installed

  1. The patient opens the Glovora mobile app.
  2. The patient taps Scan QR in the app.
  3. The patient points their camera at your QR code.
  4. The app reads the glovora://select?clinicId={id} deep link, looks up your clinic, and connects the patient automatically — no manual entry required.

If the Glovora app is not installed

When a patient's camera app or QR scanner reads the code, their phone may attempt to open the glovora:// deep link. If the Glovora app is not installed, the phone cannot open that scheme. The patient instead receives a web fallback page at https://glovora.app/deeplink?clinicId={id}, which shows:

  • The Glovora logo and brand
  • The patient's Clinic ID displayed in a monospace field for reference
  • A Download for iOS button (links to the App Store)
  • A Download for Android button (links to Google Play)
  • An Open in Glovora App ghost button — attempts to re-open the native deep link in case the app was installed during this session
  • A note: "After installing the app, scan the QR code again or tap 'Open in Glovora App' to connect to your clinic."

The patient installs the app, then either scans the QR code a second time or taps Open in Glovora App to complete the connection.

Role permissions

The QR Generator is available to all authenticated staff members regardless of role. There is no permission restriction.

The PDF Poster download endpoint on the server also requires a valid staff session and any of the roles above. A patient or unauthenticated visitor cannot download the PDF by accessing the URL directly.

Common mistakes

Printing before setting up your clinic branding The PDF Poster uses your clinic's configured logo, brand colour, and welcome credit amount at the moment you download it. If you print the poster before uploading a logo or setting your brand colour in Clinic Settings, the poster will show your clinic name in plain white text and use a default colour. Download a fresh copy after completing your branding setup.

Sharing the deep link URL instead of the PNG for in-person use The Deep Link URL (https://glovora.app/deeplink?clinicId=...) is a text string intended for digital sharing — email, SMS, and so on. Printing or displaying this URL as plain text is not useful for walk-in patients. Use the PNG QR code or the PDF Poster for any physical or on-screen display.

Assuming the QR code will expire or rotate The QR code is permanent and does not rotate. Once a patient has scanned it and connected to your clinic, they remain connected. You do not need to reprint or redistribute the code unless you change your physical branding materials.

warning

Do not crop, resize, or stylise the QR code module pattern in a way that reduces the quiet zone (the white border around the code). The QR image already includes a two-module margin. Removing or covering the quiet zone will cause scan failures, particularly on older phone cameras.

tip

For the best scan reliability, print the PDF Poster at full A4 size or at least 10 cm × 10 cm for the QR module itself. Avoid laminating with high-gloss film in strongly lit environments, as glare can interfere with camera-based scanners.
